An era is coming to an end: After 26 years, the last Vitafoods 2024 took place in Geneva

daacro’s CEO Juliane Hellhammer, PhD and project manager Franziska Eckert, MSc once again took part in the major industry gathering with 1,100 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors from 160 countries.

They draw a consistently positive conclusion:
• The supplement sector continues to grow.
• The focus is still particularly on stress and stress-related topics such as healthy sleep, cognition, gut health and healthy ageing.
• Reliable evidence in clinical studies on a solid scientific basis is essential for product development. Our advice: Statistically well planned small pilot studies, in advance!

• Meaningful investments in good scientific and statistical consulting, taking into account the regulatory framework, are worthwhile. Our advice: A well characterized study collective is a key factor for study results and hereby the stress level remains important information for the individual vulnerability between complete health and disease onset.
• Cooperation and networking makes a difference: Through opportunities as the Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN) network, existing contacts have been maintained and new contacts have been established.

To sum up: There is a growth potential with high demands on manufacturers, especially in Europe.

A new era begins: Vitafoods will meet in Barcelona from 2025 onwards. We will continue to be there, but are looking forward to hearing from you at any time!
